Returns

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You'll
also need the receipt or proof of purchase. Buyer will pay for return freight of purchased item.

If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us

Damages and Issues

Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged, or if you receive the wrong item, so that we may
evaluate the issue and make it right.

Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders or personalize
items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.

Exchanges

The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new

Refunds

RECOMMENDED FOR HIGH AMPERAGE APPLICATIONS

We purchased a new FIRMAN P120001 generator in December of 2022. The Serial number is 5210000952, Date of Manufacture 04-2022. As far as I know, we have put more operational time (1000 hours) on the Firman P120001 than any other customer to date. (Model P120002 includes a Carbon Monoxide warning circuit, but is otherwise identical to the P120001) The unit arrived ahead of the projected delivery date and was left (by liftgate) in our driveway. The unit is heavy, just shy of 400 pounds, and the crate it comes in requires a forklift or pallet jack to move, so we uncrated it and assembled it where it was delivered and then we were able to easily move it on its own wheels. We used an overhead chain hoist to locate the generator in the tow vehicle for our mobile coffee trailer. The built in "balance beam" cradle assembly designed to pick up the unit is overengineered, convenient to use, and well placed to distribute the load. The generator was then used to power a mobile espresso business. Primary loads included two Astra coffee machines, a dual head Astra Espresso machine, two Astra bean grinders, and a Hosazaki under-counter refrigerator. The circuitry in the trailer grid was balanced for loads between the two output legs, and all loads were 110-115V single phase AC. Due to the very high amperage demands and overlapping draws of the heating elements, the generator was run on the power circuit only (not on ECO). In other words, the unit was run at full throttle at all times. The service from Firman was generally excellent for the few minor problems we encountered (an AVR adjustment issue causing low voltage and a failed 50 amp main circuit breaker). Break in and oil / filter changes, due every 100 hours, were easy to accomplish, and overall the unit performed very well. After six months (approximately 1000 hours) of field service, however, the camshaft failed. We contacted the service department regarding the potential reasons for the failure, and after some back and forth communications about maintenance, Firman asked that the unit be returned to their engineering staff for assessment (possibly a design issue with lubrication of the forward camshaft support bearing). After a comprehensive review, and based on the recommendation from our service representative, Firman opted to replace the generator with a newer model P120002. Our understanding was that there were no other reported camshaft failures, and that Firman is continuing to investigate our particular unit. The P120001 series is sturdily built and will serve ideally for occasional use where a lot of amperage is needed. Based on its warranty and required maintenance, however, the P120001 / P120002 may be less ideal for regular or daily use, such as construction or mobile service businesses, including food trucks. The warranty for "commercial" applications is 180 days, rather than 3 years, and the required maintenance includes removing the cylinder heads after every 250 hours of use for decarbonization. This is a specialized operation that requires either considerable experience with small engine repair or bringing the unit to an authorized Firman service center. Our personal experience is that the published required service interval for this operation is very conservative, and that generator operation can be safely extended beyond 250 hours if the other maintenance items are dutifully addressed. Doing so may jeopardize the generator's warranty, however. Overall, we found the P120001 to be a tough and rugged generator that is well suited for high amperage demands and for those with V-Twin experience. The service from Firman after the sale was exceptional.
